I have spent nearly two decades in the mining industry, advancing early-stage projects and creating value through strategic investment, disciplined de-risking, and operational leadership. At ResDev Solutions, our team identifies and develops high-potential mineral assets across the Americas, combining technical, financial, and operational expertise to build strong, accountable teams and create pathways to partnerships and long-term value. Together, we leverage our experience in engineering, mine planning, project finance, and hands-on operations to unlock the full potential of every project we undertake. 

 As the Managing Director of ResDev Solutions, I have worked closely with investors to evaluate mining assets, conduct due diligence, and develop strategies that unlock value or turn around assets. I have led the financial and operational analysis behind large acquisitions across base metals, energy minerals, and precious metals. At ResDev Solutions, our team focuses on advancing overlooked mining projects, combining technical, financial, and operational expertise to transform early-stage opportunities into sustainable, high-impact ventures.

Previously, as Vice President of Investments at Massey, L.C., I managed private equity investments in mining and mineral shipping, overseeing multi-million-dollar deals that delivered significant returns. I played a key role in the turnaround of Fortia Minerals, generating significant profit and working as Executive Chairman.

While at Resource Capital Funds, a leading private equity firm in the mining sector, I supported the management of portfolio investments, structured over project finance deals, and exit strategies. I also worked on turnaround initiatives to drive underperforming assets toward profitability.

My background includes experience at Cerrejón, one of the world’s largest open-pit coal mines, contributing to mine planning and operational efficiency, and Sumicol-Corona, where I applied Six Sigma methodologies to optimize production.

 I hold an M.Sc. in Mining and Earth Systems Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a B.Sc. in Mining and Metallurgical Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, where I graduated at the top of my class.

To complement my technical and financial expertise, I have completed executive programs in Venture Finance (UC Berkeley), Board Governance (University of Toronto), Business Process Design (MIT), Leadership & Communication (Dale Carnegie), and Accounting System Structure & Information Management (New York Institute of Finance). 

 My primary language today is English. As a native Colombian, I am also fluent in Spanish. Additionally, my work in Brazil during my time in private equity allowed me to develop proficiency in Portuguese.
